This online art gallery contains a small sample of my work.
Whether drawing in pastel or sculpting in metal, glass or plaster, the style is indicative of modern Impressionism. While studying in Paris, a component of spiritual consciousness permeated my work. The result was a jarring expression of human dignity and emotion, consecrated in time with chalk and paper. The rich pathos, dark in nature, evokes pointed questions about ourselves and our world.
My art work combines elements from painting and sculpting. I tend to integrate art into interior design or landscaping scenes.
Sculptures combine the rough with the delicate, such as rusted iron with glass, yet create balance and harmony. The choice of materials is refreshing with their honesty and humility, while beauty and grace is achieved. Neutral and earth-tone colors are pleasing, but never overbearing.
My work is on display in private homes, including that of former King Zahir Shah of Afghanistan, who commissioned art work in Paris in the mid 70's.
